About the Program
CHIPMAT is an innovation support initiative led by IIITM-K in collaboration with Maker Village, Semicon Kerala, and ATAL EIC to strengthen India's semiconductor and advanced materials ecosystem. The program supports deep-tech innovators developing semiconductor, chip, and advanced materials technologies by providing grant support of up to INR 40 Lakhs per selected project.

- Product companies with proprietary IP requiring validation or pilot deployments.
- Advanced materials ventures.
- Application ventures integrating indigenous chips into deployable systems.
- Research teams and spin-offs with defensible IP and commercialization plans.
- MSMEs developing semiconductor, material, or chip-based technologies.
