TIH-IoT IIT Bombay TDP 10 – Call for Proposals 2026
IIT Bombay technology hub offers grants up to INR 25 lakh for deployable IoT solutions benefiting Scheduled Tribe communities.
About the Program
TDP 10 is a call from the Technology Innovation Hub for IoT and IoE at IIT Bombay. It supports application-oriented Internet of Things technologies that have progressed beyond early research and can deliver measurable benefits to Scheduled Tribe communities in India. The program targets technology validation, real-world deployment and commercialization. Projects must be at Technology Readiness Level 4 or above.
Eligibility requirements
- The proposed technology must be application-oriented and use Internet of Things or Internet of Everything technologies.
- The project must be at TRL 4 or above.
- A startup applicant must be a full-time employee of a DPIIT-registered startup.
- Academic researchers must apply through an eligible Indian research institute, laboratory or university with appropriate NAAC, UGC, AICTE or equivalent recognition.
- The Principal Investigator or Project Leader must belong to a Scheduled Tribe, or the project must substantially benefit Scheduled Tribe communities.
- Applicants must submit the prescribed project proposal, presentation, milestone plan and budget.
- A separate application is required for each proposal.
Offerings / Benefits
- Project grant up to INR 25 lakh.
- Project duration of up to 12 months.
- Support for real-world technology validation and deployment.
- Commercialization support from TIH-IoT.
- Applicants may optionally submit a two-minute technology or product demonstration video.
- Intellectual property generated using the grant will be jointly owned by TIH-IoT and the grantee and must be disclosed for evaluation and protection.

Selection process
- TIH-IoT reviews submitted project proposals for technical merit, readiness, feasibility, community benefit, deployment potential and commercialization prospects.
- Only shortlisted applicants will be notified by email.
- TIH-IoT’s funding decision is final and binding.
