About the Program

SIDBI Seed of a-IDEA is an equity funding initiative by a-IDEA (ICAR-NAARM) in partnership with SIDBI to support innovative early-stage AgriTech startups. The program aims to accelerate commercialization of scalable agricultural technologies by providing equity investment along with incubation and ecosystem support. The program is targeted at startups with validated products at the MVP or early commercialization stage that are solving challenges across the agriculture value chain.

Eligibility requirements

  • Startup should be at the MVP or early commercialization stage.
  • Must be an Indian Private Limited Company.
  • Must be DPIIT-recognized.
  • Indian promoters must hold at least 51% ownership.
  • Founders must be committed full-time to the venture.
  • Preference for startups incubated or incubation-ready with a-IDEA.
  • Startup should not have received SIDBI Seed Funding through another incubator.
