About the Program

The NIDHI Seed Support System (NIDHI-SSS) is a DST NIDHI initiative implemented by IIT Mandi Catalyst to provide seed funding to deep-tech startups progressing from proof of concept to commercialization. Funding is provided through Equity or Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS) and released in milestone-based tranches. The program supports prototype development, product validation, market entry, and business growth. Preference is given to startups developing innovative solutions for the Himalayan region and startups with granted or filed patents.

Eligibility requirements

  • TRL Level 4 or above.
  • Must not have received NIDHI-SSS support previously.
  • Minimum 51% shareholding must be held by Indian promoters.
  • Must have completed a minimum of 3 months of incubation at IIT Mandi Catalyst.
  • Preference for startups addressing challenges in the Himalayan region and startups with granted or filed patents.
