About the Program

Amazon’s global Build, Ship, Shape hackathon invites individuals, teams and incorporated or unincorporated organizations to create or significantly update working applications for Fire TV, Alexa+, Ring or Bee. Indian individuals, teams and organizations can participate directly, subject to legal-age and sanctions restrictions.

Eligibility requirements

  • Entrants may participate individually, as a team or through an eligible organization.
  • Submissions must include a working demonstration, product feedback and a code repository hosted on GitHub.
  • Projects must use the required Amazon platform, tools or integrations for the selected Fire TV, Alexa+, Ring or Bee track.
  • Projects previously developed with financial or preferential support from Amazon or Devpost may be ineligible.

Offerings / Benefits

  • USD 25,000 first prizes for the Fire TV and Alexa+ tracks.
  • USD 15,000 second prizes and USD 4,000 third prizes for Fire TV and Alexa+.
  • USD 12,000 first prizes and USD 8,000 second prizes for the Bee and Ring tracks.
  • USD 5,000 cash plus USD 5,000 AWS credits for the AWS Builder mini challenge.
  • USD 5,000 cash plus USD 5,000 AWS credits for the Open Source mini challenge.
  • AWS credits, meetings with Amazon Developer teams and promotion through Amazon Developer channels for applicable winners.

Applications involving consumer technology, media, entertainment, voice interfaces, smart-home products, productivity, artificial intelligence, fitness, sports, family experiences and computer vision.

Selection process

  • Eligible projects are judged after the submission period.
  • Judging runs from 9 November to 20 November 2026.
  • Winners are expected to be announced around 3 December 2026.
