The Basis Fellowship

The Basis Fellowship supports exceptional operators, engineers, scientists, builders, and other individuals pursuing ambitious work. Applications take approximately ten minutes, remain valid indefinitely, and may be updated when the applicant has new achievements.

• Applicants submit personal details, location, portfolio or GitHub/website, optional supporting files, and responses about their strongest work, distinctive beliefs, current interests, and future plans. A demonstrable body of work is central to the application.

• Each selected fellow receives US$50,000 with no equity, reporting obligation, spending restriction, or other stated conditions.
• Fellows join a lifelong community.
• At the organizers’ discretion, an outstanding applicant not selected for the cohort may receive US$3,000.
• A person whose nominee becomes a fellow receives US$1,000.

• The organizers personally review every application and name fellows on a rolling basis. The application never expires and can be updated as the applicant’s work progresses. No detailed evaluation rubric or fixed cohort size is published.
