Early-stage technology program offering up to INR 10 Lakhs, incubation, mentorship, and ecosystem support for innovators in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
About the Program
GENESIS Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Cohort-3 is implemented by MeitY Startup Hub (MSH) to support early-stage innovators developing technology-based solutions in Electronics, IT, ICT, and DeepTech. Selected applicants receive incubation, mentorship, ecosystem access, networking opportunities, and financial assistance through participating MSH-empanelled incubators.
Eligibility requirements
- Applicants may be entrepreneurs, innovators, researchers, students, or founders/co-founders of early-stage startups.
- The proposed innovation must be in Electronics and IT, DeepTech, AI/ML, IoT, Semiconductor/VLSI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, Quantum Technologies, AR/VR, or Spatial & Immersive Technologies.
- Innovation should be at TRL 1–4, covering ideation, PoC, prototype, MVP, or early validation stages.
- If incorporated, the startup must be less than two years old as of the application date.
- The startup must not have received financial assistance exceeding INR 10 Lakhs under any Central or State Government scheme for the same proposed idea/startup.

Selection process
- Applications are evaluated by the designated Screening and Evaluation Committee.
- Applicants select Preference 1 and Preference 2 from the MSH-empanelled GENESIS incubators.
- Incubator allocation is based on applicant preference, domain fit, incubator capacity, and evaluation outcomes.
- Selection and funding decisions are made by the Incubator and MeitY Startup Hub.
