Applicants may be based anywhere but must attend the complete program in person in Goa from 11 October through 1 November 2026., There is no remote option. Forge requires participants to give the residency their full attention and step away from other employment or academic commitments during the cohort., Applications are free. Selected founders pay a small place-holding deposit that is refunded when they arrive.

About the Program

Alexandria is the second Forge Residency cohort. It brings together approximately 12–14 founders for a 22-day residential building program at a villa in Mandrem, Goa. The residency operates inside the wider Edge City India community and is designed for independent founders developing frontier technologies, new products and emerging industries.

Eligibility requirements

  • Applicants must be technical founders or builders working independently or in a small team.
  • Applicants must present an original idea and evidence of progress.
  • The application asks what the founder is building, what currently exists, previous work and a measurable result or milestone where available.
  • Founders may apply before incorporating a company.
  • Applicants must be able to participate in the complete in-person Goa residency.

Forge’s published investment thesis covers artificial intelligence and machine learning, hardware, cryptocurrency, consumer products, space technology, defence technology and unusually early frontier ideas.

Selection process

  • Forge reviews every application and evaluates what the applicant has built, evidence of progress and how the founder approaches the work.
  • Applications showing specific execution, independent thinking, real users, meaningful experiments or resourcefulness are prioritised.
  • Approximately 12–14 founders are selected for the residency.
